Clobazam

Indications:

  • Seizures associated with West syndrome, Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), and Landau–Kleffner syndrome (LKS)
  • Prevention of future intermittent seizures caused by febrile illnesses
  • Infantile spasms
  • Severe anxiety over a short time
  • Mental illness such as schizophrenia

Dosage: Dose adjustment should be considered by physician, depending on patient’s toleration.

Contraindications:

Liver dysfunctions, Myasthenia Gravis, Breathing problems, Sleep apnea syndrome, First trimester of pregnancy, breastfeeding, Drug or alcohol dependence

Possible side effects:

Sedation and increased drooling are common.
