What is ADOMEDS?
ADOMEDS® is S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine (SAM-e) containing product that is a major methyl donor in the brain, and is involved in the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters.
Why ADOMEDS?
• Can be used by patients with mildly symptomatic depression and the ones diagnosed with MDD. • Can be used as an adjunctive agent along with conventional antidepressants for MDD. • Beneficial for treatment-resistant patients or the ones who are unable to tolerate the side effects. • Promotes sexual function such as libido and erection. • Reduces sexual dysfunction caused by antidepressants. • Shows promise in treatment of neuropsychiatric diseases, such as fibromyalgia. • Shows positive response on mood in neurological disorders, such as epilepsy. • Helps CNS (re-)myelination in neurodegenerative diseases, such as (MS). • Generally well-tolerated with less adverse effects and rapid onset of action.
Mechanism of action
• Essential for synthesis of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. • Helps to restore cellular membrane fluidity by phospholipid methylation. • Improves neurotransmission by increasing the number of adrenergic receptors. • Improves dopaminergic activity.
